7th Annual Show & Shine

The 7th Annual Calgary Firebird Club Charity Show & Shine was held on Sunday, May 29/11 and enjoyed by all who attended. The weather was perfect and 92 cars were registered. The Children's Wish Foundation received over $825 in donations and funds raised by the 50/50 draw and registration fees. We would like to thank Amanda, Darien and Kayla for their selling the 50/50 tickets, all of the donors of the door prizes and congradulate the winners of the door prizes as well as the winners of the awards:
- Best in Show: Bruce Mezei - 69 Mustang;
- Best Technical: Claude Fauchon - 81 Camaro;
- Longest Distance Travelled: Fern Way & Kevin Eliuk from Red Deer;
- Club Participation: Alberta Iron Indians.
The 8th Annual S & S will be held at Deerfoot Mall on Sunday, May 27, 2012

Calgary 45th Annual World Of Wheels at the BMO Roundup Centre
February 18 - 20, 2011
This winter we were proud to have a strong showing of Firebirds from our club on display at the Calgary 45th Annual World Of Wheels car show. It was our 5th time entering this particular show, with 9 cars on display this year: 8 in the club display and one displayed separately. Of the 9 cars, 7 of ours won a prize ranging from 2nd to 4th place in their respective classes. The participating owners were Dave H., Mac B., Mo A., Tim M., David N., Scott R., Dory P. and Rob & Louisa A. Thank you to Chris D. for providing the transport for the display and helping to set up and take down. We also had surprise visit at our booth by Canadian comedian/actor/writer Brent Butt and his wife (and television co-star of Corner Gas) Nancy Robertson.
