NAME

The Club shall be known as the Calgary Firebird Club ("the Club").

​

OBJECTIVES

To enjoy and partake in the classic car world by attending and hosting car club show and shines, participating in Club cruises, exchanging information and skills related to Club cars and other classic cars and to share general friendship of the classic car world culture.

​

Each year, the Club will host a Show and Shine at a venue and time as determined by the Club membership.

​

AFFILIATIONS

The Club, at the discretion of the membership, will affiliate with any car club or clubs that the membership deems would be beneficial to the Club.

CLUB EXECUTIVE

The Executive of the Club ("the Executive") shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary.

​

Executive positions not filled shall be assumed by either the President or Vice-President or any other Club member whose membership dues, as hereinafter defined, are fully paid and who is deemed acceptable by the membership until that position is filled by a duly elected member.

ELECTION OF THE EXECUTIVE

Elections for the Executive positions shall take place at the Club meeting of November in each year with the duly elected Executive assuming their positions in January of the following year.

CLUB MEETINGS

Club meetings shall take place on the last Tuesday of each month except the month of December until the Club membership deems a change is necessary.

​

Until a change in venue for the Club meetings is deemed necessary by the membership, the said venue will be Calgary Motor Products.

​

CLUB MEMBERSHIP

A Club member shall own a Firebird or have an interest in Firebirds and have their annual membership dues, as hereinafter defined, paid.

​

A person can join the Club at any time during the year by paying the annual dues for the year. Exceptions to the foregoing can be made at the discretion of the Club President.

​

A member shall have their Club membership revoked and be struck from the membership list if they are delinquent for one year in paying their membership dues.

​

CLUB MEMBERSHIP DUES

Club membership dues, until decided otherwise by the Club membership, will be $25.00 per year and will be payable from October for the following year and accepted any time during the year for which they are payable.

​

The Club President and Past President will be exempt from paying annual dues.

​

CLUB FINANCES

The finances of the Club shall be under the control of the Treasurer. The Treasurer, President and one other Club member who is acceptable to the membership, shall have signing authority for the Club.

​

Any financial decision shall be made by the Club membership or in special circumstances by the Executive.

​

SOCIAL EVENTS

The Club will host two social events per season to take place in the spring and fall of each year. The venue, date and theme of each event shall be determined by the Club membership.
