January Monthly Club Agenda 2023

The agenda is as follows:

- World of Wheels - March 31st - April 2nd - We have to decide if we are
going to enter a display as a Club. We would like to have at least 6
cars if we do so. We have 3 committed now. We have only one more meeting
(February 28th, which will be too late) before the show so we have to
decide on Tuesday.

- Show & Shine - May 28th - We need to start thinking about our S & S. A
new restaurant - Gogi Korean BBQ - is opening where the Blind Beggar
used to be. We have been in touch with the owner, Stan Lee (!!), who is
interested in taking part but is unfamiliar with how car shows go. We
will be meeting with him in the next few weeks to clue him in. The
Northwest Cruise Calendar will be advised this week of our show.

- 2023 car shows and cruises - We have been approached by the Iron
Indians to participate with them in a couple cruises this year. They are
going to be family friendly - kids and significant others welcome - and
going to be organized by the I.I. with input from us. We might join them
in some car shows too but that remains to be discussed.

- 2023 Ice Breaker - We need to set a date for our annual Ice Breaker
Wing Night at Mugshotz.

- 20th Anniversary Travel Mugs - It has been a soap opera  with First
Impressions since we ordered the mugs we chose in November. We got the
order just after Christmas. Their supplier screwed up on the decaling of
the mugs and refused to fix their mistake without us paying an
additional set-up fee. After much internal discussion amongst the
Executive and Dave S. and with First Impressions, we decided to keep the
order as is, not wanting to spend anymore of our limited funds to start
the order over. An email was sent to First Impressions stating that fact
and expressing great disappointment in them for not standing behind the
products they sell and stating that we will be terminating our business
relationship with them. That got their attention and we were contact
within hours of the sending of that email by one of the owns who was
very apologetic about what had happened and committed to replace the
order at no cost to us. They were told that that was satisfactory and
that the sacrewed up order would be returned to them. The owner said
that they could not do anythin with that order and that (Bonus!) we
could keep them. As a result, we have 80 mugs instead of 40. Half will
be correct and half not. At the last meeting, we decided to sell one mug
to each paid up member for $10.00 and any additional mugs for $20.00.
This will still be that case for the correct mugs. We need to decide how
much we are going to sell the erroneous mugs for. Stephen has suggested
that they might become collectors items and so should be sold for a
premium (kidding!). The correct order should be in our hands by the time
of our meeting. We should also decide if we are going to continue to use
First Impressions.

- And as usual, DUES DUES DUES!!! Bring cash($25.00)!

See you Tuesday.
